Connect the Pentatonic Shapes - This is my favourite way

how to Nov 22, 2021

The 30 Day Lead Guitar Jumpstart Guide - Take Your Guitar Playing To Lead Levels → https://www.guitarrevolution.ca/jumpstart

In this video you will learn how to connect pentatonic shapes in your soloing and improv.

This is one of my favourite ways to connect one shape of pentatonic to the next one. When I first learn this scale I learn the most famous of all, like everyone else. Later I learned that there were 4 other shapes.

Years later I finally learned how to effectively use the pentatonic as well as how to connect the shapes all together. And this is what you’ll learn in this video.

Grab your guitar and let me show you how to add rhythm into your soloing.

Last Train Home Acoustic Guitar Tutorial - Campfire Guitar

acoustic guitar how to Nov 11, 2021

In this video you will learn how to play the song Last Train Home by John Mayer.

This is not the way John Mayer plays his song, rather, this is the approach I would have if I were to play it without a band. Let’s say if I’d perform it by myself, or if I’d play it by the campfire with my friends and family, this is how I’d do it.

One thing I always try to do when I find myself in scenarios like that, where I’m playing by myself or when there is no one to play the hook or the melody of the intro. I find a way to implement the hook into my chords, my rhythm part, instead of just strumming the chords away without that famous intro melody.

Grab your acoustic guitar and lets have some fun!

How to INSTANTLY solo in any key!!

how to improv Nov 11, 2021

Have you ever heard someone saying "don't use scales to solo, use these 4 notes instead"? What do you mean "don't use a scale"? What are these 4 notes?
Well, there's a "4 note scale" that will enable you to solo in ANY key and in ANY genre. It is very simple to play, easy to apply and to make it sound good.
Many call this the "B.B. King magic box". Others call it the "Jimmy Page scale". The truth is that these 4 notes were used way before these two guitar heroes. They just made very good use of this "scale".

Grab your guitar and let me show you what these notes are and how to use them.
